A MAN has been charged with causing injury by dangerous driving following police investigations into an incident in February.

Martin Button, 42, of Lower Crescent Road, Linford was charged with the offence over the weekend.

On Tuesday, February 25, a man in his late 40s was airlifted to the Royal London hospital with serious head, pelvis and leg injuries following a collision near the mini-roundabout, linking Dock Road and Rectory Road.

The incident happened early in the morning, causing rush hour delays in the eastern part of Grays.

Dock Road was closed between Clarkebourne Drive and Lawns Crescent and Rectory Road, was closed between Dock Road and Crescent Avenue whilst police examined the scene for almost four hours.

Button has been released on police bail to appear before magistrates in Basildon on July 10.
