THE ROOF of a car had to be cut off to free a woman injured in a crash on the A13 at North Stifford on Friday afternoon.
A black BMW and red Toyota Yaris were involved in the incident on the northbound section of the road near the M25 junction at about 5.20pm.
The female driver of the BMW was freed from the car by firefighters from Grays, Orsett and Corringham and taken to Basildon Hospital for treatment.
Her injuries are not believed to have been serious.
The road was partially closed until around 7.30pm.
