A QUEEN tribute band is set to rock the Thameside Theatre with a show recreating the band’s tours from 1975 to 1986.

The Bohemians stop at Grays on Saturday as part of their As It Began tour with new costumes, sets and production to take audiences on a hurricane tour of more than a decade of the long-lasting rock group’s live shows.

The legendary 1975 Hammersmith Odeon show, which was shown on the Old Grey Whistle Test, will be recreated with an obligatory performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, followed by the big winged shirts and harlequin leotards of the band’s 1977 tours with stomping hits such as We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions, before the red PVC costume comes out for a tribute to 1979’s Crazy Tour.

While the first half of the performance is dedicated to the band’s career in the “decade that style forgot,” the second half of the show centres around the band’s highly successful Magic Tour of 1986, as well as recreating their triumphant comeback performance at Live Aid a year previously.

The show must go on at 7.45pm and tickets, priced £17.50, are available from www.thurrock.gov.uk/theatre, by calling 0845 3005264 or directly from the theatre box office
