MORE than 30 people enjoyed a “Holiday at Home” thanks to the Stanford-le-Hope Corp. of the Salvation Army.
Those involved took part in activities such as decoriating Easter bonnets and eggs with sequins. Decorating photo frames, along with friendly competitions, hand and foot massages and much more.
Transport was provided for those who needed it, as were meals. On the final day of the Holiday at Home, a fish and chip dinner was enjoyed by all.
At the end of the three days, all of the visitors went home with a Body Shop bag and some chocolate.
Major Sharon King said: “This is the third Holiday at Home held at the corps.
“ It is funded by a local businessman Ross Cooper who provides all meals, taxis and presents.
“As a result people have joined other activities held at the Corps such as Home League, Fellowship Friday and Craft Group.”
