AWARD winning choir Funky Voices is setting up in Purfleet next month.
The 800 strong choir is Essex and Suffolk’s largest community choir and perform a variety of modern hits such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Queen.
Now they are offering the opportunity to get involved by joining the choir in Purfleet.
The group's first rehearsal will be on Thursday, May 1 at the High House Production Park, starting at 7.45pm.
The group have performed all over the world and have helped to raise over £260,000 for local and international charities since their formation in 2007.
Not set with already having played prestigious venues such as the London Palladium and Disneyland Paris and performing alongside the likes of Brit Award winner Blake, Funky Voices are set to tour New York next month to, where they’ll sing at iconic landmarks such as Times Square and the Statue of Liberty.
The group most recently performed at London’s Southbank Centre at the annual Chorus Festival, where hundreds of revellers gathered to watch their performance, and by Tower Bridge during the Munch Street Food festival (pictured).
