AN aspiring radio presenter from Grays got the chance to speak to the town’s Russell Brand – and the comediancome- activist had some choice words to say on the town.
Daniel Parker, 20, of Lenmore Avenue, grabbed a chat with Brand after a chance encounter with the star’s mum on Twitter.
Daniel, mentioned his granddad had taught Brand geography at Grays Secondary School. From there, Daniel went backstage and interviewed Brand after one of his shows in Southend.
Brand told him: “Grays has changed, and to a degree it has deteriorated. It wasn’t that nice to start with, but there’s a lack of investment, a lack of social cohesion and a sense of purposelessness and loss.”
