A MAN was arrested after a vehicle was found crashed and abandoned in Fobbing.

A silver Ford Fiesta was believed to be involved in a single vehicle collision between High Road, Fobbing and Festival Leisure Park, Basildon, sometime between 2am and 5.30am on March 29.

A 24-year-old man from Corringham was arrested at his home address on suspicion of drink driving after the vehicle was found abandoned.

The man was released on police bail until May 19 on suspicion of drink driving.

Any witness to a collision involving the Fiesta should contact Pc Jenny O’Doherty at Grays police station on 101.

What if he hadn't gone back to his home and the Police didn't catch up with him until a few days had passed when the alcohol was gone from his system - would they have been able to prosecute for drink driving?

I wonder if it was the same one that was driving past the 'island' in Pitsea between the Broadway and the retail sector where Lidl is yesterday at about sixty miles an hour around three thirty.
