A SCHOOL in Grays won a coveted award recognising its modern approach to teaching and learning.
William Edwards School, in Stifford Clays Road, won the educational establishment of the year award at the Education Resources Awards in Birmingham, with judges noting the school’s combination of using traditional teaching and cutting-edge technology.
The school was graded as “outstanding” by Ofsted three years ago, and has since embarked on changing the way teachers teach and pupils learn by redesigning classrooms and introducing iPads to lessons.
