A THUG who stabbed a bus driver through the hand with an eight-inch carving knife is still on the loose.
The man stole hundreds of pounds from the No 83 Ensign bus when it stopped at Waterson Road, Chadwell St Mary. It had been travelling from Lakeside shopping centre.
The incident happened at about 4.30pm on Monday, March 10.
Dramatic CCTV footage showed the attacker boarding the bus and telling the 46-year-old driver to hand over the money.
As the driver raised his hand in selfdefence, the yob stabbed him. The victim was treated in hospital and later allowed home.
Ensign has teamed up with Crimestoppers to offer a £1,000 reward for any information leading to the conviction of the man.
Anyone with information is asked to call Grays police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
