A PUBLIC meeting has been set for next month for people of the borough to discuss the latest position on proposals for a new Lower Thames Crossing.

The meeting on Wednesday, April 2, at Orsett Hall, Prince Charles Avenue, will talk about the options, specifically Option C, which would land between Coalhouse and Tilbury forts and travel north towards the Orsett Cock junction of the A13, before meeting the M25 between junctions 29 and 30.

Option A would see another crossing built next to the current Dartford-Thurrock crossing.

An agenda for the meeting will be published at a later date. The meeting is due to start at 7pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm.
