POLICE want help in identifying a man caught on CCTV stealing chicken from a shop in Grays.

The incident took place on Sunday, February 9, at about 8.15pm at the Co-op on Lodge Lane. The man picked up the meat, valuing £26, and hid it inside his clothing before leaving the store.

The following weekend, on Saturday, February 15, at about 6.30pm, the man returned to the store to try his luck again, but was challenged by staff and left empty handed.

The man is described as being 5ft 10in tall, with short grey hair and around 40 years of age. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, and a grey and black hooded top.
