CLASSIC Disney tale, The Jungle Book is coming to the Thameside Theatre stage in Grays.

The show, which comes to the town in April, is a treat for families who can expect puppets, comedy, catchy music and lots of audience participation.

The fun and colourful adventure brought to you by Riverbank Productions is an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s novel and produced especially for children aged four to nine.

The story sees man cub Mowgli, who has been brought up by wolves, become friends with Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther who teach him how to survive in the dangerous jungle.

Mowgli must learn throughout his journey to resist the flattery of the monkeys and the untrustworthy nature of Kaa the snake.

One day, Mowgli encounters Shere Khan, a tiger who ends up his mortal enemy and wants to hunt him down and eat him.

He understands that in the end he must confront Shere Khan, with the help of his new friends if he wants to stay alive.
