A POPULAR duo from Grays are joining forces with a spectacular Pink Floyd tribute band to raise money for two youngsters.

Filthy Gorgeous, formed of Alana Connor and Micky Fredericks and Pink Floyd band Any Colour You Like have organised the event at the Crooked Billet in Stanford-le-Hope to raise funds for Blu Hill, Callum Davie and the Leaukaemia and Lymphonia Research Charity.

Four-year-old Blu Hill, who lives in Chadwell St Mary suffers with cerebral palsy and has recently had an operation to help with his mobility. Funds are now needed to help with the hours of after care and physiotherapy that Blu requires.

Callum, seven, from Harold Wood is currently battling leukaemia.

On Saturday, Filthy Gorgeous - who have been forging a name for themselves on Thurrock’s live music scene - will perform at a special gig with Any Colour You Like.

And the highly-regarded 11 piece Pink Floyd tribute band are set to put on quite a show - recreating the mind-blowing Pink Floyd visuals with a laser light show and projections.

It takes the band - who only perform for charity - several hours to set up.

Alana, who lives in Grays and is the lead singer in Filthy Gorgeous, said: “We’re playing at the Crooked Billet in aid of two local lads who need our help.

“Little Legs Callum Davie has suffered with leukemia since he was two and is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant. Little Blu Hill is suffering with cerebal palsy.

“Any Colour You Like will feature the full band with projections and a fantastic light show. Please make the time to come down and help us help them. It will be a great night of Floyd, with both bands jamming along.”

The event is this Saturday, March 1 at the Crooked Billet and starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10. To purchase, search for the “Filthy Gorgeous” Facebook page.
