ESSEX boy Ben Hall Munn, one of the county’s finest percussionists, is set to perform at the inaugural Essex Fest later this year.
Also known as Bongo Ben, he will take to the stage at the Orsett Showground over the weekend of July 19 and 20.
Ben broke out in 2010, and has since played some of the hottest venues in club land.
As well as spots such as the Sugar Hut and Faces, Ben played at the athletes’ village at the London Olympics in 2012.
Abroad, he has performed at the famous Bora Bora Beach in Ibiza and Nikki Beach in Marbella.
Also confirmed for the festival is hip hop legend and threetime Brit Award winner Ms Dynamite, alternative rock band Fight the Dice, live looping human beat box Thepetebox and Kiss FM DJ Charlie Hedges.
Organisers are also on the hunt for DJs to perform at the event.

Up to 8,000 people are expected to descend on the festival.
