POLICE would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a member of staff being verbally threatened in a Grays petrol station.

A man is alleged to have threatened the staff member at the Murco station on the Broadway just before 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 22.

Officers understand a member of the public may have been in the garage shop at the time and saw what happened.

Anybody that can help is asked to contact Pc Kevin Hague at Grays on Essex Police 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 37-year-old man from Grays has been questioned by police in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail until Saturday, March 1.
