TWO men have been arrested in connection with an arson attempt on a car dealership in Grays in January, police have just announced.

A 61-year-old man from Grays was arrested on January 23 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson and was released on police bail pending further enquiries until February 21.

A 24-year-old man from Harlow was arrested on January 31 on suspicion of arson and released on bail pending further enquiries until March 31.

Police attended Mini and Acy Exports Limited, on the Globe Industrial Estate, in Towers Road at just before 4am following reports from the fire service that the premises were on fire.

Six vehicles had been damaged in the blaze. No one was reported injured.

There had been a fire at the same premises at around 1am on Tuesday December 17 which is also being treated as suspicious.
