NOSTALGIA and romance will be the order of the night at a vintage valentine dance being held in Corringham.

A duo called Perfect Vintage will be reciting hits from the 40s while A2 Jive dance group - who featured on the Alan Titchmarsh show recently, will also be performing on the evening.

Community charity the Thurrock Community Chest are teaming up with St Luke’s to put on the event on Friday, February 21.

Perfect Vintage are formed of Brian and Cherie, two professional singers with a passion for all things vintage. Expect to hear all the classic songs from the wartime era and also from the 1930s.

A2 Jive is an Essex dance group based around 1940's style Jive, Jitterbug, Swing and Rock 'n Roll dancing.

The event is being held at the Springhouse Club, Corringham on Friday February 21. There will be a licensed bar and snacks available. Vintage dress is optional.
