TWO men have been caught red-handed breaking into a house in Grays.

The duo failed to spot a resident's CCTV cameras as they clambered over a fence before breaking into the house and rummaging for cash and jewellery.

They targeted the house at 3.45pm on Saturday, February 1.

Now police are trying to track them down.

Central and east Thurrock neighbourhood sergeant Insp. Lee Argent said: "Responsible for dwelling burglary in Grays on 1 Feb. who are they?"

If you know who they are, call 101.

The camera in this garden is better than those in shops. Some advise on garden defence and that is put some trellis on top of the fence it makes it very difficult to climb over and its legal

That is so scary. I am about to close on my first home after my meeting with my mortgage company (Avrus Mortgage) next Wednesday and my biggest fear is that I am going to get robbed. I am moving to a strange college town where I hardly know anyone. I am definitely going to have to get some cameras put up. Do you think the cameras should be clear as day or hidden? You would think if a house has cameras that are noticeable that it would stop people from trying to rob your house.
