A VALUABLE watch was stolen from a man's home...while he was in hospital.

The family of Colin Bannister, who sadly died, are now appealing for help in finding the sentimental watch, said to be worth around £500.

It is thought the Longines watch was taken sometime around Friday December 20, 2013, along with around £500 in cash.

The gold watch is inscribed with the name Colin Bannister and possibly Proctor and Gamble.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have been offered the watch for sale or who may know where it is or who took it to contact the officer in the case, Pc Peter Lee, at Grays police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
