Our reporters will be following the Royal party as they tour Essex today.
Firstly, the Prince of Wales, as patron of the Royal Opera House, will visit the High House Production Park, in Purfleet, with the Duchess.
They are also due to visit a pub near Maldon, run by not-for-profit organisation of which Prince Charles is patron.
Southend will also roll out the red carpet to welcome the royal couple who will spend 30 minutes at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff, watching performances by children from six local schools under the banner of the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
