TRAIN operator C2C are putting on extra trains, making it easier for anyone heading up to the capital to see in the New Year to get home.

Four extra services will be running after midnight.

There will be 1.45am train from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness, calling at all stations via Laindon.

A 2.05am train from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness will call at all stations to Grays via Rainham, then Chafford Hundred and Ockendon, before reversing and stopping at Chafford Hundred, Grays, and all stations to Shoeburyness via Tilbury.

This train calls at all stations on the Rainham, Tilbury and Ockendon lines. There will be a last train at 2.25am from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness, calling all stations via Laindon.

There will also be an additional 00.50 Shoeburyness to Fenchurch Street will run for anyone returning west, calling at all stations via Laindon.

The London Underground will also run all night on New Years Eve. The service is free between 11.30pm and 4.30am on New Year’s Day. However a restricted service will run on New Year’s Day.
