A MAN from Chadwell St Mary has decorated his push bike for the festive season to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in memory of his son.

Archie Williams-Page, the son of John Williams, 35, sadly died in November 2012 nerofibromatosis, aged just three.

Archie was admitted to Great Ormond Street early last year because he was suffering with seizures.

He had an abnormality in his brain, couldn't move any of his limbs and suffered with reflux.

John rides the bike to and from work at Tilbury docks, donates money each month to the children’s hospital.

So far he has raised £258 for GOSH with his festive bike. He said:”I’m getting beeps of the horns and lights flashing at me. Kids are screaming as I go past, and lots of people are yelling Merry Chrsitmas at me!

“People are also donating as I go along so it’s going well.”

John is now planning to set up his own charity bike ride for next year, where participants can dress up their bike for the festive season.
