ROTARY clubs members have helped raise more than £1,000 for charities this Christmas.
The Rotary Club of Thurrock Gateway descend upon Sainsbury's, in Chafford Hundred, to make their annual collection for charity.
About 16 club members collected from the generous folk of Thurrock, raising £1,100.58 in the process.
The money raised will be sent to local and international charities at the Club's Annual Charity Awards event in May 2014 at Langdon Hills Golf Club.
Club President Karen Sayers-Irving said: “The event was a resounding success and I would like to thank Liz Stevens, PR Ambassador of Sainsbury's Chafford Hundred, for all her help in making this possible.”
