THURROCK Council is hosting a free buffet on Friday as a thank you to those who use the Liftshare scheme.
The lunch at the council’s Civic Offices on New Road, Grays will also be attended by Mayor Tony Fish.
It is hoped the lunch will also prompt others to consider joining the scheme which offers free lifts and car shares to help save money and ease congestion.
The day will see a brief presentation from a Liftshare expert and a chance to discuss the scheme.
Everyone who signs up to the scheme will be entered into a prize draw to win a Christmas hamper.
For each person signing up, Thurrock’s local food bank will also receive a £1 donation.
