A KEEN runner is calling on next year’s London Marathon runners to support a children’s charity.
Jack Panesar, of Chafford Hundred, will be running in the 2014 London Marathon on April 13, for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Jack is urging other participants to join him in supporting the NSPCC’s services.
He said: “As a father of two daughters, I recognise the importance of ensuring children having a safe and caring environment to live and be raised in. It pains me to hear and read stories about children that have been abused or have no one to turn to during difficult times.”
“The atmosphere and the crowd. There is nothing like running down embankment with thousands of people cheering for you.”
Jack will receive an exclusive training day with two-time Olympic marathon runner and Commonwealth Games medalist Liz Yelling in January.
Any runners who have a place in the London Marathon and would like to find out more about running for the NSPCC, should call the events team on 0844 892 1119 or email marathon@nspcc.org.uk.
