RESIDENTS of Thurrock will be able to leave their tributes to Nelson Mandela for the next six days.
A book of condolence has been opened in Thurrock Council’s reception area where messages to the former president of South Africa.
The first entry was that of Mayor of Thurrock, councillor Tony Fish, which stated: “He was a personal hero of mine with a message of peace and reconciliation. RIP after “a life well lived.”
The book will be open until Monday, December 16 and will be sent to the South African Embassy in London.
The council offices in New Road, Grays, are open from 8am to 5.15pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8am to 4:45pm on Friday.
