Stanford school pupils wins local design award
A YOUNGSTER from a Stanford-le-Hope school has been chosen as the local winner of a national school manufacturing competition.
Samuel Partridge from Gable Hall School was picked by Stephen Metcalfe, MP for East Thurrock and South Basildon after he designed a set of headphones that converted into portable speakers.
Samuel’s entry is one of 23 shortlisted ideas selected from over 520 entries for the 'We Made It' competition and he will visit the Houses of Parliament in March next year to claim his prize.
