THE mayor of Thurrock has gone back to his roots to speak to students at his old school.
Tony Fish paid a visit to Herringham Primary Academy, in Chadwell St Mary, to speak about his life and his position as Mayor.
Mr Fish met with the school council who asked him questions about how the school has changed since he was a boy.
Viki Reid, Herringham Principal, said: "We were delighted to welcome the Mayor, he was very interested in how we equip our children with learning skills such as resilience and integrity. The children couldn’t stop talking about how the Mayor had inspired them to continue to demonstrate our core skills.”
