Lakeside donates old uniforms to support Zambia charity

STAFF at Lakeside are donating their old uniforms to help people in Africa.
Following a rebranding in January, staff at the shopping centre have been issued with new uniforms.
Now, over 1700 garments are being donated to the National Police Aid Convoys charity, who do lots of work in Zambia.
In total, Lakeside will be donating more than 200 pairs of trousers, 700 tops and 300 jackets to the NPAC.
The uniforms will be sent out to southern Africa by ship and could be donated to colleges or other organisations in need.
Izzie Peskett, Lakeside’s marketing manager, said: “Following our successful rebranding we were keen to put the former uniforms to good use and when we heard of the work the NPAC does we were keen to help them.
“It’s great to think that our donation could help make a real difference to the lives of people in Zambia and makes us realise that there are people in the world who are still desperately in need of things that we take for granted.”
