This game looks destined to be a draw. Neither side making decent ground going forward.
Rocks sub - McKenzie replaced by Mitchell Gilbey
Must say Town keep it on the floor more than Rocks. You wouldn't know they were bottom of their league.
Eagle dribbles past Davidson and instead of playing in Ruez he opts to shoot. Bad choice. Well over.
Eastbourne sub - Greenfield is replaced by Alex Howell
McKenzie holds play up very well but Ruez cross is harmless. Town break and Fregany shoots wide.
Fregany with a low cross claimed at the near post by Mott.
Goalkeepers kicking has been atrocious today. It's not even windy although we are by the sea
Game has dropped off after a very feisty start to the second half. Rocks still look more likely.
Ref tells Hallett to calm down after he starts shouting. Crowd finding it very funny.
Mbaye is booked for a pretty harmless looking tackle.

Great chane for Rocks! Ruez plays through Smith who should score but it goes agonisingly wide with Hallett sliding in. Must have missed by inches.
Very hard tackle by Sammons on Schaaf. He gets booked and so does McKenzie for a bit of pushing.
Calls for a penalty after Sutton controls the ball near his arm but nt given. Rocks players furious.
Period of sustained possession by Town. They need this as they have been pushed further back as this half has gone on
Smith with a great chance but he shin rolls it into Nessling's gloves
Very good cup tie now. Both sides don't want a replay.
McKenzie scores but offside flag is raised! Hallett was the man offside and he nodded onto McKenzie who was offside. Probably right call.
Sutton goes in very hard on McKenzie but the ref only awards a corner.
Mott saves the spot kick from Baptiste! Dived low to his right and cleared
Town penalty! Handball.
Smith looks to head to across goal after a deep Parmenter cross. Well cleared and Town look to break through Greenfield.
Ruez is down after jarring his knee in a block. Receiving treatment now. No sub warming up though.
Chance For Rocks! McKenzie shoots low across the keeper and he gets enough on it to stop Hallett getting a tap in.
Fregany loses the ball and Rocks break through Hallett. His heavy touch means he knocks it just ahead of McKenzie who is clean through. A very frustrated Hallett yells his displeasure.
Gee with an early corner for Town. First one is cleared and the second is headed over by Mbaye
Grays, Thurrock and Tilbury all losing in their respective FA Trophy games.
Rocks kick off
I thought I had sent that update! We are about to start the second half.
Eastbourne Town 0-0 East Thurrock
Best chance of the match and it falls to Baptiste. Fregany and Greenfield link up very well with the latter crossing for the striker. His header is well saved by Mott.
Fregany and Greenfield have switched flanks as they look to switch it up. Thought Fregany was having some joy down the right though.
Nessling flaps at a corner but the keeper is lucky as the ball is cleared by a covering defender.
Sammons hasn't had the best last for minutes. His delivery has got progressively worse. Rocks win a corner with the first half almost over.
Mbaye defends very well when under pressure and Rocks lose possession. Much of the last five minutes has been in the home half though.
Fregany robs Stephen in a dangerous area but his cross is cleared. Seconds later the winger fouls the Rocks man. Interesting battle developing there.
Sammons is played through on the right wing but he opts to shoot when he had options in the box. Ball sails over. Poor choice there.
Ball is very well defended. Referee says 'up we go, nice and easy' as the ball come in. Great value!
Greenfield streak down the wing but his cross is blocked behind.
Ruez, Hallett and Smith link up really well but the latter's cross just evades McKenzie and goes out for a goal kick.
Fregany cross is towards Baptiste but Glover does well and wins a freekick after a push in the back.
Rocks midfield looking for the ball over the top when the full backs may be the better option. Sammons and Stephen always an option.
This game is for the taking here for Rocks today. McKenzie and Hallett are pulling Davidson and Mbaye all over the shop.
Glover heads wide after a deep Sammons corner. Two headed opportunities for the centre back already
Ref Paul Yates has done a great job so far. Talking to the players continually. Very good contest.
Freekick for Rocks. Mbaye hits the ball away and escapes a booking. Lucky boy.
Fregany shoots into Mott's arms. Home side have come back into this well.
Gee hits wide after good set up play. Town looking to go through Baptiste at every opportunity on his debut.
Seconds later McKenzie attempts the lob from 30 yards but it flies just over. He looks on form today. Very keen for the ball.
Terrific turn from Baptiste but he can't get past Peddie.
Ruez slips Hallett through but the flag is raised. Very close decision. Looked like he was odds on to score
Sammons blocks off Baptiste but it's a fair challenge. Peddie. Very vocal at the back for Rocks.
The home side haven't been able to keep possession at all. McKenzie with another effort that nips past the far post.
Rocks are playing better. McKenzie with an acrobatic effort that only finds the keeper's gloves.
Stephen corner headed wide by Glover. Great leap.
Neither team in control early doors
Great run from Hallett is halted in the nick of time by a great block. Head tennis in the box is cleared.
Town looking forward early on. Fregany with some decent skill but well marshalled. Grass is very long here.
Town play in blue and yellow, Rocks in white and black stripes. Here we go.
Richard Greenfield has replaced Watson in the starting line-up for Town.
If this game is a draw the replay will be at Rookery Hill on Tuesday.
Be very interesting to see veteran Baptiste play here today. Twice of Thurrock of course! 35 but a proven goalscorer!

Good afternoon and welcome to the Thurrock Gazette's coverage of this 1st Round Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy match between Eastbourne Town and East Thurrock.
East Thurrock are not on the best run of form with only one win in their last ten matches. However, they come into this match as favourites against a team who are a league below them.
Eastbourne are currently bottom of the Ryman League South Division 1, but have won two of their last three games.
The winners of this tie will receive £2,700.
