Trio get clippered for charity cash
7:10am Saturday 19th October 2013 in News
THREE women had their hair shaved off for charity during a fundraiser for Macmillan at Stanford Rugby Club.
Sue Williams, Coral Wood and Charlotte Phillips had clippers taken to their hair after locks were snipped away to be donated to the Little Princess Trust.
Once the trio had had their hair clippered, Coral had what liitle hair remained completely shaved off after a club member offered to donate £200.
Coral’s father Frank, a cancer sufferer who is being cared for by nurses at Macmillan and St Luke’s Hospice, was on hand to do the honours with the razor.
A raffle was also held to raise funds while players from Stanford Rugby Club’s under-15s side queued to wax strips of hair off the legs of team-mate Adam Lakey, paying £1 a go.
