AN annual check on electric blankets is being run to ensure their safety this winter.
Thurrock Council is offering the test at a number of drop-off points across the borough including South Ockendon Centre, in Derry Avenue; Thurrock Council offices, in New Road, Grays; Chadwell Library, in Brentwood Road and Corringham Library, in St John’s Way.
If you have an electric blanket you would like tested, put it in a bag with your name, address and telephone number attached.
They will be tested and returned to residents with a full test report.
Blankets must be dropped off at any of the points before Tuesday, October 22.
