Liam Holden murder trial: Jury sent home for the day as verdict looms
THE jury has been sent home for the day having spent the day considering a verdict on whether Owen and Ryan Wood are guilty of murdering Liam Holden.
After Judge Charles Gratwicke finished summarising the evidence, he told the jury they needed to reach a unanimous decision as to whether Owen Wood, 24, and Ryan Wood, 21 are guilty or not guilty.
However, if a unanimous decision cannot be reached a majority verdict will be accepted.
Mr Holden died in the early hours of Sunday, March 10 after being attacked having left the Euro Lounge nightclub in Grays.
The Wood brothers deny murder.
The judge will swear the jury in again tomorrow morning.
The trial at Chelmsford Crown Court has lasted almost two-and-a-half weeks.
