- Ryman Premier League
Goals galore in games involving Thurrock's non-league sides.
Lots of second half entertainment here.
Scott Kinch sent off for a second yellow, shortly after Jeff Hammond might have been dismissed for leaving a foot in on Hollaway.
It was Hammond who went on to open the scores for Blues, tapping in a 79th minute cross from Joao Carlos.
Jack West, an 81st minute sub, then added two more for Blues as 10 men Margate pressed for a leveller.
Blues break their winless run. The win pushes Blues up to 7th above Margate.
Full time scores from elsewhere:
Soham Town Rangers 4 - 3 Aveley
East Thurrock United 3 - 0 Cray Wanderers
Thurrock 3 - 2 Waltham Forest
Tilbury 4 - 1 Wroxham

GRAYS ATHLETIC 3 - 0 Margate
Oh Hollaway has had a mare. He's gone to kick the ball clear, 30 yards from goal. West closes him down, the ball hits West and falls kindly for the striker who rolls the ball into an empty net from 25 yards.
GOOOOALLL!! GRAYS ATHLETIC 3 - 0 Margate - Jack West 90+7

GOAL: SOHAM TOWN RANGERS 4-3 Aveley - Luke Stanley (81')— @AveleyFC 21 September 2013
Great goal by West. Long ball played out of the box, as Margate apply some pressure. Carlos chases but he's beaten to it by Cox, but he can't control. West gathers, makes for goal and hits a swering right footed shot from 20 yards.
There'll be lots of stoppage time, but Blues looking good for a first league win in 5 games.
GOOOAAALL!!! GRAYS ATHLETIC 2 - 0 Margate - Jack West, 88'
Margate applying some pressure now. Corner cleared at the near post by Pope, but only as far as Whiteley whose shot is blocked.
Paul Vines on for George Craddock
Jack West on for Jeff Hammond.
The ball in came to nothing.
Margate feeling very hard done by by a few decisions the referee has made. I don't think he's had a bad game though.
Free kick to Blues. Beaney's cross field pass was gathered by Carlos, under pressure from Cox. Cox attempted to jump over the top of Carlos and ended up on the floor. Carlos gathered, nut megged Cox as the full back got to his feet and was then fouled.
A goal made by the tenacity and composure of Joao Carlos. He beats Cox to a long ball, carries the ball into the box and crosses low for Hammond to tap in to an empty net!
GOOOALLL!! GRAYS ATHLETIC 1 - 0 Margate - Jeff Hammond, 79'
GOAL: Soham Town Rangers 2-2 AVELEY - Jay Leader (73')— @AveleyFC 21 September 2013
Lee Flynn comes on for Ramos-Gonzalez. Straight swap, RG struggling a little. Now having his ankle tended to in the dug out.
Nice from Margate, ball played into the box, drops down for Walsh but he can't convert on the half volley. He was always off balance.
Leon Lalite booked. Late challenge in the middle of the pitch.
Jared Small replaced by Chuck Duru.
Small non-existent in this second half. Mind you, football's been pretty non-existent in this second half.
GOAL: EAST THURROCK UNITED 2-0 Cray Wanderers - David Bryant (60') http://t.co/E5gXEWY3Jw— @1EastThurrockFC 21 September 2013

After 11 minutes, we have some football once more. Joao Carlos has his effort blocked.
The ball is cleard, Walsh is played in but Pope comes across to make a last ditch tackle
Scott Kinch is dismissed. He's shown red for a second bookable offence.
The midfielder didn't stop having a go at the ref. Nor did the manager.
Michael Smith left with little choice.
Two yellow cards here.
Firstly, Ramos-Gonzalez does really well in midfield. He controls a pass fizzed at him on the halfway line, turns his marker and plays a decent ball through to Hammond.
It's a little long for Hammond. But as Hollaway collects, Hammond appears to leave his foot in as he runs past. The referee books him - as the keeper is treated for a cut to his eye - then books Beales.
That should be that. But..
Calls for handball from Margate as Baker slips while controlling a cross. To me, it looked as though it his chest. The Margate contingent are not happy, however.
Blues are defending really well here. They're just lacking a little as they go forward.
Joao Carlos does really well running from midfield. He shakes off two challenges, makes for goal but his shot is a little weak and easy for Hollaway.
Lalite sends the ball out left to Carlos but he scuffs a low cross and the ball trickles into Hollaway's arms.
Corner for Margate is cleared.
Hollaway collects Gonzalez' ball in.
Ramos Gonzalez standing over a free kick from the right.
It's whipped into the near post - lef-footed - and Kinch is forced to head it over his own bar.
My bet would be that we're unlikely to see both sides finis this game with 11 men. A fair few players on yellows and it's just been that sort of game.
And we're back underway.
Players are out for the second half now.
Half time scores from elsewhere:
East Thurrock United 1 - 0 Cray Wanderes (Mackenzie)
Thurrock 1 - 1 Waltham Forest (R Clark; Worrell)
Tilbury 2 - 0 Wroxham (Weemes, Cutler)
Soham Town Rangers 2 - 1 Aveley (Stanley, McCabe; Kamara)
Half time. A close game. Lots of fouls, plenty of offsides and not a lot of chances.
Small has been very good for Grays. Strong on the ball, lively and looking to create. Lalite is popping up all over the place. But Hollaway not had to deal with anything to threatening.
At the other end, the hosts are defending well. Johnson, like Hollaway, hasn't faced too much to worry him. Ademeno has looked good for the visitors.
Grays Athletic 0 - 0 Margate
The resulting corner is cleared somewhat untidily. Three Blues players then compete for a dink over the back four as they push up out of the box, but they're offside.
Great counter attack by Grays. Joao Carlos and Hammond play a nice one two on the half way line and Carlos is away. He's tracked well by Beales. Carlos gets a shot away but Hollaway is down well to save.
GOAL: TILBURY 2-0 Wroxham - Sam West (41')— @tilburyfcscores 21 September 2013
Nice ball into the Margate box and Hollaway does well to gather under pressure from Carlos at the back post.
Great football from Jared Small and Jeff Hammond. Small loops a great ball over the top and Hammond reaches it. He lays the ball off to Lalite and Small connects with his cross, but can't divert the ball goalward.
Good stuff from Small - he's having a decent game for Blues. He shows good strength and skill to hold off Dolby but is unable to get a cross in.
Yellow card for Ryan Dolby. The referee was called over by the linesman, who obviously complained of abuse received.
Scott Kinch is booked for a tackle on Maxwell. He came straight through the back of the Blues midfielder there.
GOAL: Soham Town Rangers 2-1 AVELEY - Rashid Kamara (31')— @AveleyFC 21 September 2013
Blues have a free kick now. Lalite crosses, Hollaway clears. Beaney then plays the ball back in, it falls to Small after being half cleared, but he lashes the ball over the bar.
Blues enjoy a bit of possession in the Margate third, but the final ball is missing. Maxwell fouls Azeez as Maragte come away with the ball but the visitors fail to make anything of the free kick.
Johnson gathers with ease and tries to launch a quick counter attack. His drop kick is too long.
And now the visitors have a corner...
Cross in by Cox, headed wide by Ademeno
As Beales launches a long throw in to the Grays box. Three ir four players have their hands all over each other and the referee is forced to deal with some afters, as the ball is gathered by Lamar Johnson.
GOAL: SOHAM TOWN RANGERS 1-0 Aveley - Luke Stanley (9')— @AveleyFC 21 September 2013
GOAL: SOHAM TOWN RANGERS 2-0 Aveley - James McCabe (19')— @AveleyFC 21 September 2013
Yello card Ademeno now for a late challenge on Johnson as the keeper went to clear.
From the break, Hammond is penalised as he is played in by Baker. It looks like the striker had a hold of the centre half's shirt.
Free kick for Margate right on the edge of the box. It's a good effort, but Johnson catches it well.
Excellent stuff by Small. He and Hammond work the ball to the touchline. Small shows good strength but his low cross flashes across the face of the goal with no able to get a touch.
Margate break, but there's a cynical foul from Ramos-Gonzalez as Ademenos sprints for goal.
Good pressure from Blues. Joao Carlos ends up running into a cul-de-sac of yellow and black when it might have been easier to cross early. The ball is eventually played across, but is cleared just as it looks like Hammond might convert.
GOAL: EAST THURROCK UNITED 1-0 Cray Wanderers - Leon McKenzie (8') http://t.co/E5gXEWY3Jw— @1EastThurrockFC 21 September 2013
GOAL: TILBURY 1-0 Wroxham - Lee Weemes (6')— @tilburyfcscores 21 September 2013
Joe Vines comes off for Margate, presumably injured. He's replaced by James Campbell.
Good stuff from Blues. Lalite initated the break. He laid the ball off to Hammond, who teed up Small to play a long ball. Lalite, who had carried on his run, latched on to the through ball but got his chipped effort all wrong Hollaway was untroubled.
Small does well on the touchline to get a cross in under challenge from Ryan Dolby. It's blocked though and Pope is unable to redeliver.
Baker making a few key headers early on. Plays one back to Johnson now, with Walsh breathing down his neck.
Good chance early doors. Ramos-Gonzalez crosses in to the back post but it's just beyond the reach of Carlos.
So, can Grays Athletic break a run of five games without a win?
Time to find out. We're underway.
We're about six minutes away from kick off here. Anticipating a very good game.
Margate are unbeaten away from home. They've won three of their four away games.
So today is the Premier League's 8th vs 5th.
So Blues came through a tricky FA Cup tie against Romford here last weekend. Ryan Kirby has named an unchanged team.
The following day, Blues were drawn against Tilbury in the second qualifying round. That game is next Sunday.
Here are the teams:
Johnson; Pope (c), Ramos-Gonzalez, Baker, Nightingill; Maxwell, Lalite, Beaney, Small, Carlos; Hammond.
Subs: West, Anderson, Cruickshank, Duru, Flynn.
Hollaway; Cox, Dolby, Kinch, Beales (c); Vines, Bodkin, Craddock, Azeez; Walsh, Ademeno.
