Maxsta, who now lives in Chafford Hundred, is launching his new single Wanna Go, featuring Little Niki, and is calling on the support of Thurrock residents to make the song a hit.
He has previously worked with big names like Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk and Wiley.
He has been acclaimed by BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, as well as performing at the T In The Park festival in 2010.
Maxsta said: “I will be very grateful if the Thurrock community supports my single.
“Overall it is a feel good track straight from an East London and Thurrock boy.”
In August 2012, Maxsta’s debut single I Wanna Rock peaked at a respectbale number 67 in the UK charts.
His new single will be released on Sunday, September 22.
