A HANDFUL of Thurrock youngsters are to join ex-EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy at this year’s panto at the Thameside Theatre.

A record-breaking 150 children auditioned for the production of Jack and the Beanstalk, with 30 stand-out performers impressing judges.

Chloe Hastings, Lily-Mae Stanley, Macey-Mae Bundy and Chloe Aspinall were among those from Grays selected, while Chelsea-Rose Morris, Jenna Hood and Sophie McDonald from Stanford-le-Hope were picked, as were Corringham pair Danni and Tyla Keogh.

The show runs from Friday, December 6, to Sunday, January 5. Visit www.thurrock.gov.uk/theatre
