Church's weekend of birthday celebrations

A MULTI-CULTURAL church in South Ockendon is celebrating five years in the community.
Destiny Chapel, at the Culver Centre in Daiglen Drive, is holding a two-day thanksgiving which will be attended by Tony Fish, the mayor of Thurrock.
Between 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, September 14, a panel of speakers from the community will be discussing the work they do locally, while there will also be presentations by the chapel’s children and youth groups, plus a musical extravaganza from the worship team.
On Sunday, September 15, between 10.30am and 1.30pm, there will be a special thanksgiving service, which will include a speech by the mayor, a gospel worship and multimedia oresentation.
