A NEW reality TV show will see a Thurrock couple pitted against three others as they bid to win their dream wedding.

The Odd Couple will be broadcast next week and one of the four couples competing are lovebirds Craig Keeling and Emma Sargeant.

They had to go through weeks of gruelling tasks at a high-intensity bootcamp as the couples tried to guess which of the four was not really a couple at all and were merely acting – with plenty of tears, tantrums and laughter along the way.

The show will be hosted by South Ockendon favourites David van Day and Sue Moxley, pictured above.

Craig, 26, from Tilbury, jumped at the chance to be on the show when the chance presented itself, but said Emma, 23, from Grays, was slightly reluctant to appear on TV.

Craig said: “Emma is more reserved than me and didn’t really know what the show would involve, but I was really keen.

“I have always wanted to be on TV and won her around when I said she could decide on our next holiday destination. We are off to Dubai!

“It was very competitive and the other couples all had TV experience, having been on Total Wipeout, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.”

Craig and Emma were pushed to their limits at a GI Jane bootcamp on the Isle of Sheppey, where they had to do early morning runs, complete assualt courses and complete a search and rescue mission.

Points are scored in each challenge and the couple who works out who the odd couple are win bonus points, taking them closer to the dream wedding.

Craig said: “I was absolutely exhausted, it was so tiring. We had a really good time though and are so pleased we went on the show.”

The Odd Couple premieres on the Fitness Channel (Sky channel 282) on Wednesday, September 11, at 10pm and is repeated on the Sunday, September 15, at 8pm.
