Carnival to hit streets of Stanford and Corringham

THE Stanford and Corringham Carnival is coming this weekend.
The popular annual festival will see a grand parade through the streets of Stanford-le-Hope before a fete on Saturday afternoon.
Beginning from Park Road, in Corringham, at 1.30pm it will travel along Springhouse Road, Gordon Road, back into Springhouse Road, along Third Avenue, Branksome Avenue, First Avenue, Dunstable Road, Southend Road, High Street, Corringham Road, Rainbow Lane, before ending at Billet Lane around 3.30pm.
There will be a craft fair on the Mobil Field, Billet Lane, starting at 1.30pm with lots of unusual crafts that could make ideal early Christmas presents.
David Sargent, one of the carnival organisers, said this year’s event promises to be a big success.
He added: “We look forward to welcoming the people of Corringham and Stanford-le-Hope to our annual carnival.
“We hope everyone enjoys the day and gets involved.”
