7:00am Friday 23rd August 2013 in News
THURROCK Council has been given a £1million boost as it continues to lead the funding of low-carbon projects in south Essex.
The grant comes after council chiefs, in connection with other local councils and organisations, worked to help businesses find ways of reducing carbon emissions and save money.
The new schemes will be funded until the end of 2014 and will include £500,000 for grants to businesses.
Cllr Andy Smith, Thurrock’s portfolio holder for regeneration, said: “Now we’ll be doing even more.”
