THURROCK'S sides had a predominantly good night in Ryman premier league action.

Aveley had set the standard with a 3-1 win yesterday evening and three of Thurrock's four sides added three more points to their total this evening.

East Thurrock were the only team to come unstuck - losing their match at Rookery Hill against Lewes. The away side are currently unbeaten in the league and Jack Dixon and Ade Olorunda scored the goals to take the spoils in a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile Grays Athletic snatched a late 3-1 win against Wingate and Finchley to maintain their 100 per cent winning record this season. They took the lead when the relentless Joao Carlos scored after 28 minutes. However, the home side hit back midway through the second half when Ahmet Rifat equalised.

It took late goals from Junior Baker and another from Carlos to take Blues back to the top of the table.

In the Ryman North division both Tilbury and Thurrock shared eight goals in two resounding victories.

Tilbury won their first match of the season after three straight defeats. Tilbury conceded early on at Chadfields but Burnham Ramblers scored the next four goals of the match through Lee Weemes, Rimmel Daniel (2), and Harry Cook.

The away side grabbed a late consolation through Billy Hunt.

Meanwhile Thurrock also scored five beating Harlow 5-1.

Joel Nouble, Bradley Warner, Alex Read (pen, Lewwis Spence and Callum Ibe scored the goals.
