ONE of the most famous mediums in the world is coming to Grays to channel spirits at the Thameside Theatre.
Derek Acorah, the cheerful Scouse who played professional football before he became a full time psychic, is appearing in the borough on Wedensday, October 23.
His Eternal Spirits tour is taking him across the UK, where he will interact with audiences and engage with the spirit world.
Acorah, 63, who claims his first supernatural experience came as a child when he was visited by the spirit of his late grandfather, has appeared on television throughout his career as a medium.
He has gone from a medium doing one-to-one sittings, initially from a small shop premises in the Wavertree area of Liverpool and later from his office in Liverpool City Centre, to becoming one of the most popular mediums in the world, performing in New Zealand, USA, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.
He forged a name for himself first on Granada Breeze, contributing to programmes such as Psychic Livetime, Psychic Zone and Derek Acorah’s Prediction. Later, he was in Antiques Ghost Show, Haunted Truths and recently Most Haunted.
He has also attempted to trace the spirits of Guy Fawkes in Living TV’s Derek Acorah’s Quest for Guy Fawkes and also of Michael Jackson, in 2009.
He has also appeared on Dr Who, the Paul O’Grady Show, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, This Morning, GMTV’s Lorraine, Brainiac, The Weakest Link, Livin with Lucy and more.
His last tour, True Vision, in 2012, was a huge success.
This time round, expect Acorah’s legendary cheeky charm, but sensitive delivery in this sometimes controversial, but always entertaining field.
Tickets are priced at £17 for adults and £16 for senior citizens, with the show starting at 7.30pm.
