A STANFORD-LE-HOPE councillor has praised the work of a hospice operating on the town’s door step.
Shane Hebb, a ward councillor for Stanford-le-Hope West and the Conservative health spokesman, praised St Luke’s Hospice after a recent visit.
St Luke’s has been serving the Thurrock and Basildon community for 23 years through its base in Basildon, as well as other local services, such as St Luke’s House in Corringham.
The hospice provides specialist care for people who have an advanced disease, as well as those who love and care for them Cllr Hebb said: “I was delighted to see first hand the exceptionally professional operation being run at the hospice.
“Everyone we spoke to was so positive, and I cannot praise highly enough the level of bespoke care provided.
“It’s obvious even from a single visit that St Luke’s is having a huge positive impact on people’s lives at a difficult time.”
