A CRASH in Purfleet has been confirmed as fatal.
The collision, between a lorry and a van that happened near Watt's Wood in Purfleet shortly after 2pm on Wednesday, caused part of the A1306 to close.
Police are appealing for witnesses and advising motorists that the A1306 will be closed for another two hours from 4.30pm.
Another accident, between a lorry and a motorbike on the Dartford Bridge is also causing queues back to Junction 29 of the M25.
Ensignbus report that route 44 is unable to serve the Uplands Estate as a result of the crash in Purfleet and is experiencing delays of approximately 15 minutes.
Their X80 route, which links Thurrock with Bluewater, in Kent, is gradually returning to normal following the accident on the bridge.
