ENJOY the biblical tale of Noah and the Flood when choirs come to Tilbury.

Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs are presenting a production of Benjamin Britten’s joyous children’s opera Noye’s Fludde.

Pupils from Thurrock will take part, accompanying the choirs to play the animals in the ark and provide music for the production.

During June, children from three schools in Thurrock and five across Southend will take part in workshops to design animal masks. Dancer and artist Hi Ching, from the Foundation of Indian Performing Arts, will lead the groups and create the masks.

Children from Lansdowne Primary, Herringham Primary and Gateway Free School in Thurrock are in the show, which is at London Cruise Terminal, in Tilbury.

It is on Wednesday, July 17, at 7.30pm. Tickets are free from Tilbury Library or the Thameside Theatre box office on 0845 3005264.
