THE quality of school dinners in Thurrock were praised at an annual awards ceremony.
Three of the borough’s schools picked up awards at the Havering and Thurrock Catering Services celebration.
The event – at Redden Court School in Harold Wood – saw awards for service excellence go to Lansdowne Academy, Ormiston Park Academy, and Bulphan Church of England Primary.
Landsdowne scooped gold, silver went to the Ormiston Park Academy and Bulphan Primary came in third with the bronze award.
The scheme celebrates the hard work, dedication and efforts of all the catering teams that provide school dinners to primary schools and academies across both boroughs.
