This is fantastic news regarding Marks & Spencer, plus also the extra jobs which will come from DP World. This will certainly put Thurrock back on the map and hopefully Grays, when the education centre is up and running - had a look today at the building going up - it is getting there!

Ive heard that Canvey residents are worried, it seems these massive container vessels, deliver a massive bow wave, which is going to decimate the canvey beaches.

As i understand it no-ones signed up yet to bring containers to the port. So all this crap about M&S signing up is a bit premature

I think Dubai Ports may have thought about that. I am sure they have a plan I think you can safely say they are not stupid.

Google D/P World, and learn that D/P World id already going from strength to strength, with thousands of containers being loaded/unloaded daily, they have eight vessels, per day, alongside their quays with thousands of lorries, with an average turnaround time of 16 minutes.
Await the rumbling............

Will the M&S warehouse put the DSL distribution centre by the Dartford Crossing out of business, if it's still up and running all these after I last worked there picking and despatching clothing etc to numerous M&S stores in the East of England and beyond?
