THE Veolia Mardyke Trust, which ploughs funds into a host of good Thurrock causes, is merging with other south Essex Veolia trusts.
The new three-way trust, comprising the Mardyke Trust, Havering Riverside Trust and Pitsea Marshes Trust, will be responsible for allocating £2.5million of community cash per year.
In recent years, the Trust funded a number of projects in Thurrock, including Warren Weavers Garden, at Warren Primary School, the Veolia Mardyke Bridge, linking the RSPB reserve and Purfleet, and Grays Town Park.
