Man charged on suspicion of Grays murder

A MAN from Grays has been charged with the murder of Liam Holden.

Owen Wood, 23, of Godman Road, Grays was arrested on Friday and charged by detectives investigating the 35-year-old's death on Saturday.

Liam died from serious head injuries after being assaulted outside the Euro Lounge club in the early hours of Sunday March 10.

Wood has been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' court on Monday March 18.

A second man, a 21-year-old also from Grays, arrested in connection with the murder, remains on bail until May 22, 2013 pending further enquiries.
