MUSIC lovers were transported back to the era of 2-tone at a talk by the Queen of Ska Pauline Black.

The frontwoman of The Selecter was at the Thameside Theatre in Grays with her book Black by Design: A 2-Tone Memoir.

Pauline, who grew up in Romford with her foster parents, spoke about the band, which was hugely successful.

The event was part of Essex Book Festival, which runs until the end of the month.
